Eye to Sky-Series of Sky Watch Workshops

The ‘Eye to Sky’ venture was designed to provide the students a unique experience of exploring the stellar wonders and get to know more about the Physics of constellations and planets from the experts in the field. Under this event, the Department organizes a series of skywatch workshops inside and outside the campus. As an outcome of this intiative, the Department has instigated a club, Vimala Astronomy Club (VAC), to provide a platform for students to actively organize events in connection with celestial phenomena.

Coffee with Scientist Programme

‘Coffee with Scientist’ provides students an excellent opportunity to interact with eminent scientists and get motivated to pursue research in promising areas of the discipline.

'AGNI'

'AGNI' is an annual event organized by the Department in honour of Late Dr A P J Abdul Kalam, the Missile Man of India. The event imparts a sense of gratitude and respect to the scientific contributions of the great soul and instill a strong motivation among students to 'dream' and  'do' for the country.
